Sneak Peek: New Easynews Interface

Easynews will announce new user interface in the next few weeks. Their new service will be much easier to navigate and will be a more streamlined USENET solution overall. Currently, the web development team is working hard on the feature, but the first beta release is expected to be available within few weeks.

Some of the features new interface will have are:

• Advanced search panel: there will be numerous options available while entering search queries (such as pixels, runtime, hz, FPS, BPS, file type and many other)
• Audio search results: when displaying the results of audio search, lots of information is provided (such as subject, post date, size, runtime, codec, sample rate and other)
• Video thumbnail for a specific file: the video can be viewed as a series of thumbnails, displaying several frames from the video itself
• Image search results: the results of image search will be very similar to Google image search, showing image thumbnails in a series of rows and columns (images can be sorted as well, according the date, size, etc)
• Video search results: when displaying the results of a video search, the same pattern will be used as it is used in audio search, but four frames from the video will be displayed as well (the link to the video thumbnail will be displayed below the frame images)

Here, in the new advanced search pictured above, you can see that you are able to search by keywords, date and narrow down by category. Audio, Video, Image and Parity files.

When displaying the results of audio search, you can see that lots of information is provided (such as subject, post date, size, runtime, codec, sample rate and other).
